Terry Francona is a former professional baseball player and manager who has won two World Series championships, both as a manager.
The first championship came in 2004 when Francona was managing the Boston Red Sox. The team famously came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series before sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. It was the first championship for the Red Sox in 86 years.
Francona's second championship came in 2007, again as the manager of the Red Sox. The team defeated the Colorado Rockies in four games to win their second championship in four years.
Overall, Francona has managed in three World Series, also reaching the championship with the Cleveland Indians in 2016. He has a career managerial record of 1,667 wins and 1,384 losses with a winning percentage of .546.
